Yanks May Have "Bernie Williams Day" This Year

Don't really know how I missed this yesterday, but the Yankees may have a "Bernie Williams Day" this season before moving into the new Yankee Stadium.

From Dan Graziano:
Williams and the Yankees have not been on friendly terms since he turned down the team's offer of a minor-league contract and spring training invitation in February of 2007. But there has been talk recently of a reconciliation that would involve Williams making some sort of Stadium appearance before the building shuts down at the end of this year. It's not clear whether there'd be a full-blown "Bernie Williams Day" or a number-retiring ceremony, or if it would be something as simple as Williams throwing out a ceremonial first pitch. But Williams is apparently interested in some sort of return to Yankee Stadium before it closes.
This is great news, and I will certainly be in attendance that day when the the Yankees honor one of my favorite players of all-time.
