The New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys are going into business together — to sell hot dogs, beer and burgers.Of all the teams in the world they had to team up with the freaking Cowboys? What, were the Red Sox unavailable?
The two franchises, each built in the image of their outspoken owners, will form a partnership in food concessions and retail merchandising, the teams announced on Monday.
The teams will own 34 percent apiece of Legends Hospitality, which will run the concessions at each of their new billion-dollar stadiums, which are to open next year. They will also bid to run the food concessions at other professional and collegiate stadiums and entertainment complexes.
Besides the Yankees and Cowboys, other partners in the deal are Goldman Sachs, which owns a stake in the YES Network, and CIC Partners LP, which is based in Dallas. The two companies will provide financing for the deal and serve as financial advisers.
I may have to start bringing my own food to games.

This is certainly random. I agree with you Greg, why the Cowboys? It would make more sense to team with the Giants, I would think. In my dream world though I wish the Yankees would partner with the Steelers but that won't happen? This new partnership will make my dad very happy though.
Yes Mark, this should mean a lot more money for the Yanks.
The Yanks and Cowboys teamed together because both teams are in new stadiums next season, thus setting a model for 2 professional leagues.

You are right Mike, but it just bothers me. I hate the Cowboys so much - almost as much as the Red Sox.

I know you can at the current (or old) stadium.
I've always hated the Cowboys, so I'm not crazy about this move at all.

Look at the bright side.
Now we can have Tony Romo sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" in the 7th inning stretch.
And Romo singing in the new Yankees Stadium may win next year's Oddity of the Year Award for the Yankees.
The two best franchises combine!!! I love it!!!
