Some history was made today at US Cellular Field when White Sox lefty Mark Buehrle threw the 18th perfect game in Major League Baseball history against the Tampa Bay Rays. 9 innings, no runs, no hits, no walks, 6 strikeouts, and threw 76 of his 116 pitches for strikes.
The play of the game came with nobody out in the ninth when Dewayne Wise leaped high over the left-center field wall to rob a home run off the bat of Gabe Kapler. Considering how tough a play it was and the game situation, that may be the play of the year.
Buehrle then struck out Michel Hernandez and got Jason Bartlett to ground out to short to end the game.
It was Buehrle's second no-hitter and his first perfect game.
Congrats to Mark Buehrle on his perfecto!

wow, that's not against an anemic lineup either...
Still think he is garbage, take that to the bank and cash it!
That play by Wise was unbelievable.
The Wise catch was incredible. Ended up in his bare hand.
Congrats to mark, i know he has absolutely sucked at times but he has been pretty good during others. It is pretty great that it was against the rays...a decent lineup to...
