Another Deal: Snell, Wilson headed to Seattle

ESPN (hat-tip to Was Watching)is reporting that Ian Snell and Jack Wilson are headed to Seattle. In return the Pirates will recieve shortstop Ronny Cedeno, first baseman Jeff Clement, and right-handed pitching prospects Aaron Pribanic, Brett Lorin and Nathan Adcock.

The Yanks were scouting Snell, so that's out of the question. Also, how does this effect the availlability of Jarrod Washburn because it doesn't appear that the Mariners are going to be sellers.

Like Michael Kay is saying right now, the Yanks need to say fuck what everyone thinks about us and we need to get Doc. Joba, Ajax and one of the catchers FTW. Like he said, position players can be bought. Great pitchers hardly can.

Good I never liked Ian Snell. The yanks dont really have to do much to do. Maybe another reliever will ne nice. But if they give Melancon a shot he might turn out to be another reliever the yanks could use.

They need to add some pitching depth though. Maybe someone like a Jon Garland. Or someone Duchscherer who is rehabbing right now you can keep in the minors until you need him.

Kay is a moron he is basically saying Cervelli and Montero have the same value. He is clueless about the farm system. Very sad that this man is the play by play guy for the yankees.

Kay was the same guy last year killing Phil Hughes saying he is not a major league pitcher.

I'm reading that the Sanchez to the Giants is still be negotiated and is not a done deal.

If Cashman didn't trade for Johan Santana back when the team really needed an ace. What makes people think he would trade for Halladay? He just spent 160 million on an ace and 80 million on a number 2 starter.

Trading the farm system for Halladay would be ridiculous and over the top. The yanks are in first place and have the best record in baseball since may. They just need to add a good backend rotation starter or a bullpen arm like Scott Downs.
