Giambi's Struggles Continue, but Girardi Remains Confident

Brian Costello of the New York Post discusses Jason Giambi's horrible start, but don't worry fans, Joe Girardi is still confident in his struggling first baseman:
"I think his at-bats have been pretty good," Joe Girardi said. "Like I've said all along, he's run into bad luck. He's hit some balls hard. I really don't have any concerns with him. I think he's going to be really productive."
I really wish he weren't so confident. If I were Girardi I'd bench Giambi until he learns how to bunt the ball towards 3rd base, cause unless Mike Timlin is on the mound that's that's the only way he's going to get a hit.

And why can't Ensberg get any playing time? In four games he's hit .385 (5-for-13) with a HR and an RBI, Giambi has hit .125 (5-for-40) with 2 HR (both off Timlin) and 6 RBI in thirteen games.

Giambi is a bum, and he's been nothing but a cancer to this team since they signed him.

He had a couple good years, but you're right he's been a disaster of a signing.
