Harlan Chamberlain "Significantly" Better

From Kat O'Brien:
The health of Joba Chamberlain's father, Harlan, is improving, Yankees manager Joe Girardi said yesterday.

It's still not clear how soon Joba might be able to rejoin the Yankees. The important thing, though, is that his father, who is in a Lincoln, Neb., hospital, is "significantly" better.

Girardi said he had spoken to Joba, and that Harlan had sat up in bed twice for about half an hour each time. Harlan is breathing some on his own now. "There's still some more tests that have to be run," Girardi said.
Hank Steinbrenner also said he spoke with Chamberlain. "Asked everything about his dad. Is he happy with the treatment he's getting. Told him, 'Just take his time,'" Steinbrenner said in Tampa, Fla.
Great news for the Yankees, and the Chamberlain family.
