CLEVELAND -- When ballplayers go bad, everyone suddenly becomes an expert, offering their own unique brand of advice. Ian Kennedy learned that the tough way this week, stewing after taking his second Major League loss at Baltimore."This whole week, I heard about three days of it," Kennedy said. "You go over it yourself, and then the first day, that's fine. By Monday, I was like, 'Enough of the talking.'"
Kennedy knows that the well-wishers are just coming forward with tweaks that could or should help, but he'd still rather deal with the alternative -- a victory, something that has eluded him through his first four turns through the Yankees' rotation. He'll get another shot on Saturday, toeing the rubber against the Indians for the first time in his career.
"You kind of think, 'I just did that -- why did I go back to where I was the first start?'" Kennedy said. "It's something that I thought about mentally and I've done it in my bullpens, where I try not to be so perfect. It's worked so far. I'll see how it goes."
Here's my very optimistic prediction: 6 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
What do you think Kennedy will give the Yankees today?
Post a prediction for his line in the comments section.

I'm gonna say he goes 6 IP 4 ER 3 BB 3 K.
It'd be nice to see him do better than that, but I don't think he will.
5 2/3IP 5ER 8H 2BB 4K. I think someone in the bullpen will come in and give up a hit and allow 1 or 2 of his runners to score.
Dan,
I could see that, but if he does pitch like that I think there will be hundreds of Yankees fan jumping off rooftops.
Well he's already allowed 3 ER and 3 BB in 2 IP so I guess my prediction is shot.
You actually ended up closer than it looked like you would have: 5 IP, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB and 2 K. After the shaky start, not so bad.
Yea, Kennedy battled back to pitch a decent game.
