Yanks - Royals Series Preview

Yankees at Royals
(3 games)

The Yankees start their first road trip of the 2008 campaign in Kansas City when they take on the Royals a Kauffman Stadium. The Royals have started off the season very well going 4-2, and swept the Tigers and their "mighty" offense in Comerica Park.

Last year the Yankees took the season series 9-1. The only Royals win was a 7-0 victory in Kauffman Stadium when Kei Igawa started for the Yanks.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Yankees - Jonny Damon:
The Yankees leadoff hitter had his first mutli-hit game last night, and if he could start hitting, this Yankees offense should start to score a lot of runs. For his career Damon is a .315 hitter with 8 HR and 36 RBI against his former team.

Royals - Alex Gordon: Royals third baseman Alex Gordon has been a Yankee-killer so far in his short career. In 25 at-bats he's hitting .341 with a homer and 5 RBI.
