Yanks @ O's Series Preview

Yankees at Orioles
@ Camden Yards

(3 games)

The Yankees and O's meet for the first time this season for a 3-game series in Baltimore. Last season the two teams split the season series winning 9 games each.

The Yanks head into the series with a 9-8 record, and trailing the first place Red Sox by 1 game in the AL east, and the O's are a half game in front of the Yankees in the standings with a 9-7 record. Both teams are also coming off two game series splits.

In the first two games of the series the Yankees have their two rookie starters going, and it's very important for both of them to give the Yankees some innings. Especially Phil Hughes, who since his first start of the year has not be able to get past the 3rd inning. The Yankees bullpen has been used a lot lately and they could use all the rest they can get.

The weather reports for the weekend look very good, with sunny skies and high temperatures around 80. There's a chance of rain on Sunday, but they should be able to get the game in.
