PITCHING: Jeff Marquez got the start and the win, but did not pitch well. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits. He gave up 4 homers, a 2-run shot and 3 solo shots. Durham scored 1 run in the 1st and 3rd innings on solo homers. In the 4th a run scored on a double and single. Marquez gave up 3 more runs in the 6th on a solo homer and 2-run homer. He left the game leading 8-6 and picked up the win. Marquez is 2-4, with both wins against Durham. His era is 7.47.
Billy Traber relieved Marquez in the 6th with 2 out and a runner on 3rd base and got the final out on a strikeout. Traber gave up 1 run in the 7th on a double and 2 wild pitches making the score SWB 12-7. ... In the 8th Traber gave up 1 run on a double and 2 groundouts making the score SWB 15-8. ... Scott Patterson pitched a scoreless 9th after giving up a double and walk. Justin Christian robbed an extra base hit leaping to the top of the fence on a tremendous play.

Catcher Eladio Rodriquez was sent to the Staten Island roster. ... Wilson Betemit is now 4--11 in 3 rehab games, after going 1-7 in the Friday doubleheader with 3 strikeouts. ... Steven White picked up the win in Game 1 Friday going 6 innings allowing only 1 run on 2 hits. White's era is now at 3.21. Final score of Game 1 SWB 6-1. ... Game 2 Friday, Scott Patterson picked up his 2nd win of the year after he blew a save in the top of the 7th with an unearned run. SWB came back in the bottom of the inning with a walk-off game winning run for the 4-3 win and sweep of the doubleheader.
