Hughes Has Stress Fracture of the Rib

From the New York Post:

Joe Girardi said today on WFAN's "Mike & the Mad Dog" program that Phil Hughes has a stress fracture of his ninth rib and could be out until at least July.

This is worse than the preliminary word that Hughes was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained oblique muscle.

So much for it all being BS so that he could get his act together.

Am I the only one who starting to feel that this team is snakebit? I've never seen a team with more bad luck than the Yankees have had the past couple seasons.

Youre definately not the only one, Greg.

The Yankees are not the only ones snakebit the past few years either, though.

Living in Brooklyn, Queens, Washington Heights, and Long Island the past 3 years, Ive got many Met friends, actually more Met friends than Yankee friends nowadays... They've had a couple terrible years in the luck dept as well.

But Brian Cashman > Omar Minaya....

But as far as pain in the process...
Carl Pavano > Mike Hampton

Struggling Pitchers?

Hughes/Kennedy > Pelfrey/Humber(traded)

1st Base?

Delgado > Giambi

Hey, at least no one bit down on Barry Zito!!!

It's just more bad news after more bad news with this team.

I'm almost afraid to check for news updates because of what might happen next.

I officially retract all of my conspiracy theories about Joe Girardi, Phil Hughes and convenient injuries.

We REALLY need Rasner to step up and produce in the meantime.

Next thing you know the Yankees will be lining up a trade for Zito.

LOL if they trade for Zito I may stop watching baseball all together.
