CORRECTION: Kennedy will start Thursday, and Rasner Will Start Friday. Sorry for the confusion, but blame George King for that.Yankees New York Yankees ’ fans will not see Kei Igawa Kei Igawa the sequel, at least not any time soon.
Ian Kennedy Ian Kennedy will be called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to pitch in the opening game of the Subway Series against the Mets New York Mets on Friday.
Kennedy will start for SWB tonight in Indianapolis in the first game of a doubleheader, but likely will be restricted to one inning so he can be ready to pitch Friday.
Good, even if he gets bombed I'd rather see him start than Igawa. And don't get me wrong, I don't blame Igawa for struggling, he's just not a major league pitcher, it's not his fault Cashman wanted to make up for not getting Matsuzaka and threw a ton of money at him.

Is Santana now pitching on Friday? I thought I just heard on the Michael Kay Show, wasn't sure.
Yeah Santana's slated for friday now. I personally wouldve prefered Raz to go up against him, Its a lot of pressure to pitch against the guy many thought you shouldve been traded for, especially when:
A) He's now on the Mets.
B) You're at Yankee Stadium in the first game of a Subway Series
and C) You just got back from a minor league stint.
Kennedy... throw strikes, just not to Ryan Church.
Oh wow, looks like Kennedy's NOT pitching Friday, and Rasner is....
I just saw the rotoworld blip on the left sidebar, looks like my wish was granted. Makes much more sense, Raz is a cool and calm dude.
Yea, it's Kennedy Thursday and Rasner Friday.
I saw Kennedy's start tonight. He gave up an infield hit down the 3rd base line that Cody Ransom could only pick up. The runner then was thrown out trying to steal. He had strike one on 2 or 3batters who took a pitch. Kennedy threw 12 pitches--7 strikes.
Thanks for the update BG.
You're minor league reports will be greatly missed.
