Rainout = Battle of Southpaws

Tonight's rainout means that Darrell Rasner will not face the Mets and the matchup for tomorrow afternoon's game at The Stadium is Andy Pettitte vs. Johan Santana.

"It's what we feel is the right thing to do," manager Joe Girardi said.

"In the past, he's done very well when he's in that big spotlight," Girardi said. "I think it'll be good for Andy."

The rotation for the next 5 games looks like this:

Pettitte tomorrow, Wang on Sunday, Mussina on Tuesday, Rasner on Wednesday and Kennedy on Thursday.
