For more interesting (and depressing stats) check out this post by Steve Lombardi at WasWatching.com. It's about big innings (5+ runs), and it's pretty sad to see where the Yankees stack up in having and allowing the big inning. If you were wondering, they've scored 5+ runs in an inning one time. Less than any other team in the league.

That is some very interesting stats...www.rootzoo.com would love to talk about the Yankees with you. It is a great sports site to talk sports and win prizes.

Thats so great. So basically, if the Yanks are losing at any point in the game, just turn it off because they are going to lose.

Bostowned, sadly yes, that about sums it up.

Greg these are some sick stats. Without checking the big inning stat I knew it couldn't be good only cause I remember alot of the big innings. Innings like that either puts you in the hole or lets the other team back in the game. But hey when you are in last place cant go any lower just higher. Remember last year it was 14 1/2 games on 5/29 and we almost caught Boston.
