Wang Has Mild Calf Strain, Should Be Fine

From the New York Post:

Chien-Ming Wang went for an MRI exam today and was diagnosed with a mild strain in his right calf.

Wang is on track to make his next start: Saturday against Seattle, pending a bullpen session he is slated to throw tomorrow.

"So far they don't think it's of significance," GM Brian Cashman said.

Wang said the injury occurred when he covered first base in the seventh inning of Sunday night's loss to the Mets. He says it has been improving.

"I'm going to be fine," he said.

"I'm not going to overly worry," Cashman said, "but it's on the radar now."

"Functionally he seems to be able to do everything," Cashman said. "My understanding is he's not really feeling anything on it."

Don't worry until there is a reason to worry, and right now, Wang feels fine and can do what he needs to do, so there is no reason to worry.
