(AAA) Scranton/WB (39-25) beat Syracuse 3-0: Box Score - Recap

PITCHING: Kei Igawa pitched an outstanding game. Igawa went 7 shutout innings allowing only 2 hits. A single in the 2nd, and double in the 6th inning. Igawa got the win (6-4) and lowered his era to 3.68. He had 2 strikeouts, 2 walks and hit a batter. Igawa now has a string of 12 scoreless innings since giving up 6 runs in the first 2 innings of his last start.

Scott Patterson pitched a perfect 8th inning picking up a strikeout......Billy Traber picked up his 2nd save with a scoreless 9th.

OFFENSE: It was a scoreless game until the 6th inning when the Yanks picked up the only 3 runs of the game.....Greg Porter singled, stole 2nd base, and scored on Matt Carson's rbi single for the 1st run.....Chris Stewart singled, Bernie Castro walked and Brett Gardner had a 2-rbi single to score the final 2 runs. Gardner is 12 of 24 with runners in scoring position and 2 out.......Gardner, Porter, Castro and Stewart each had 2 hits.

NOTES: Alan Horne makes his 1st start Sunday since coming off the DL.
