Farnsworth Not Pleased With Crowd Reactions

From The Star-Ledger:

The Yankees reliever was forced out of the game after reaching out for a batted ball and needed three stitches, but not before giving up home run No. 601 to Griffey.

The fans cheered Griffey's overall accomplishment as he rounded the bases, and Farnsworth couldn't hide his disappointment in the gesture -- especially because some fans had the gall to cheer as Farnsworth was later escorted off the mound by trainer Gene Monahan.

"I have no comment about that," he said tersely.

First of all, it The Farns can't figure out why Yankees fans were cheering Ken Griffey Jr. rounding the bases in a 4-2 game after he just hit his 601st HR in what will probably be his last at bat in Yankee Stadium, then he needs to get his head checked.

Second, if The Farns can't figure out why Yankees fans don't like him very much, then he needs to go get his head checked. The .333 batting avg. for opposing hitters in the 8th inning might be part of that. The 10 HRs you've given up, may be another.

A bit of advice for Farnsworth, stop commenting about the fans you're only going to make things worse, and start pitching better, then maybe you will get the type of reaction you're hoping for.

My brother and I loath Farnsworth. Together we have a few nicknames that fit nicely with his last name but thats neither here nor there. My dad seems to like Farnsy for some odd reason and last night I had a stellar moment when Farnsy Warnsy came in. Farns has been giving up a run every other game, seriously. Im not sure why but he seems to have worked that out for himself. Since he didnt allow a run in his last outting, and with the lefty hitting Jr at bat, I felt confident. So with my brother in law watching on I bestowed my prediction:

"Dad....Jr is at bat, Yanks are up by 4 and Farns didnt allow a run his last time out. Next pitch is gone."

Next pitch..................was gone. I lovers my Farnsy Warnsy! Hahaha.

Hahahah, yeah I had a feeling Jr. would take him deep too. Farnsworth really bothers me. I hope he can be effective and help this team, I just don't have much faith that he can.

I think Kyle should be lucky hes not booed everytime he stands on the mound. Yankee fan memories are long lasting and hes blown so many games I never would miss him but the yankees organization love him for SOME reason.
