The Yanks and Jays meet for a second time this season, starting tonight with the highly anticipated first MLB start of Joba Chamberlain. The Yanks took two out of three the first time these two team met up during opening week in April at The Stadium.
Both teams had been playing well prior to their last two games; the Jays had won 7 out of 8 until they lost two in a row to the Angels, and the Yankees had won 8 out of 10 before losing their last two to the Twins in Minnesota.
The Jays are currently in 3rd place in the AL East with a 31-28 record, 5 games out of first. The Yanks are 2 games behind the Jays with a 28-29 record, in 4th place, and 7 games behind first place Tampa.
