PITCHING: Ross Ohlendorf got the start for SWB. Ohlendorf gave up hits in the first inning and a wild pitch but pitched out of the jam. In the 4th inning 2 runs scored on a walk and 3 singles to make the score SWB 4-2. Ohlendorf struck out the first batter in the 5th inning before being relieved. Ohlendorf's line: 4.1 IP, 2 runs, 6 hits, 5 K's---1 walk. He threw 91 pitches--58 strikes--33 balls. ERA 3.24
Chris Britton relieved Ohlendorf in the 5th inning and got the final 2 outs. ... Britton pitched a scoreless 6th. Britton got the first 2 outs of the 7th and was taken out after an infield single.. Britton picked up the win (3-1). ... J B Cox relieved Britton and got the final out of the 7th inning. Cox had a rough 8th inning allowing 2 runs on a single, 2 walks, and wild pitch. ... Steven Jackson relieved Cox and got the final out of the 8th. ... Scott Strickland pitched a scoreless 9th inning to pick up the save. Strickland struck out the first 2 batters he faced.
