PITCHING: Alfredo Aceves got the start for SWB and was not involved in the decision. He pitched very well for the first 3 innings picking up 4 K's and allowing just 1 single. He ran into trouble in the 4th inning. Rochester scored 2 runs on a single, double, error, and RBI sac fly to take a 2-1 lead. ... Aceves gave up 2 more runs in the 5th on a 2-run homer after a walk to give Rochester a 4-1 lead. He left the game after 5 innings with the score tied at 4. Aceves line: 5.0 IP, 4 runs, 4 hits, 4 K's---1 walk. Aceves threw 74 pitches--51 strikes. Aceves had 2 groundouts---9 flyouts.

J B Cox came on to pitch the 6th with the scored tied at 4 Cox gave up 3 runs on 3 doubles, and rbi groundout to give Rochester a 7-4 lead. Cox pitched a scoreless 7th inning and was charged with the loss (4-4). ... Steven White pitched the 8th and allowed 3 more runs on 2 doubles and 2 singles to make the score 10-4.

OFFENSE: Francisco Liriano started and got the win (10-2) for Rochester. He pitched 6 innings allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, including a 3-run homer by Nick Green and 4 doubles.. Liriano struck out 9 SWB batters. ... SWB broke on top in the 2nd inning 1-0 when Ben Broussard doubled, JD Closser singled, and Chris Basak got the RBI with a double. ... In the 6th, Liriano hit Broussard with a pitch, and walked Eric Duncan. Nick Green followed with his 3-run homer to tie the game at 4. ... SWB picked up a run in the 9th with Bernie Castro getting the RBI on a single to make the score 10-5. ... SWB batters had 14 strikeouts, including 4 by Cody Ransom.

NOTES: Alan Horne comes off the DL to start Monday at Rochester in the finale of the 2 game set.
