Regular Season Game 88
Yankees (45-42) vs. Red Sox (52-37)
Yankee Stadium - Bronx, NY
Game Time: 3:55 p.m.
TV: FOX - MLB.TV | Radio: WCBS 880

Here are the lineups:

YANKEES
Brett Gardner LF
Derek Jeter SS
Bobby Abreu RF
Alex Rodriguez 3B
Jason Giambi DH
Wilson Betemit 1B
Robinson Cano 2B
Melky Cabrera CF
Jose Molina C

Mike Mussina RHP (10-6, 3.87 ERA)

RED SOX
Jacoby Ellsbury LF
Dustin Pedroia 2B
J.D. Drew RF
Manny Ramirez DH
Mike Lowell 3B
Kevin Youkilis 1B
Coco Crisp CF
Jason Varitek C
Alex Cora SS

Justin Masterson RHP (4-2, 3.75 ERA)

Notes: Peter Abraham reports that Jorge Posada is "a little under the weather," so that's why he's sitting. . . . Brett Gardner is 1-for-13 so far in his short career. Maybe he should look across the diamond at what Jacoby Ellsbury did yesterday. Ellsbury bunted for hits twice, and it's time Gardner started doing the same thing. ... The Yanks have lost 5 of 6, and 9 of 14, so this team needs to turn things around right now.

Yanks vs. Masterson

The Yanks have never faced Masterson . . . Oh no.

Yes, losing today, with a 2-run lead and Mo on the mound would have been devastating. Thankfully Mo somehow got out of that jam.
