Yanks Will Discuss Bonds...

...As well as everything else, including trade and free agents at today's meeting in Tampa.

According to ESPN, Hank Steinbrenner said the he'll "mention (Bonds)," at today's meeting with Yankees officials in Tampa. "We'll cover everything. No stone will be left unturned," Steinbrenner said.

Here's some more from ESPN:

Co-chairman Hank Steinbrenner acknowledged he'd mention Bonds, the indicted home run king who became a free agent when the San Francisco Giants did not bring him back.

In addition to Hank Steinbrenner, his brother, co-chairman Hal Steinbrenner, president Randy Levine, general manager Brian Cashman and special adviser Gene Michael were among those at the meetings.

Although he admitted they will discuss Bonds, it really doesn't mean much more than he's a possibility. If they didn't they would not be doing their due diligence. I still feel it would be a good idea to add him to this roster, especially if they cannot get Bay or Nady. The guy may be a cheater, but boy can he hit.

good, hopefully they know the risk is worth the reward.

Agreed, like I, along with many other have said, if he doesn't produce in the first two weeks, just cut the guy.

I kinda disagree with this. I remember seeing your post in YES board that you think Arod just keeps embarrassing the organization. If you think Arod embarrasses the organization, then Bonds wearing the Pinstripes will be a disgrace. Do you really wish to see this dirt bag ruining the image of the great Yankees?

A-Rod embarrasses the organization because he's a miserable human being, and can't seem to stay out of the tabloids. Regardless I still want him on this team because he's good at baseball.

Bonds did the same thing as Giambi and Pettitte, they all used PEDs. The only difference is Bonds didn't admit it. But if he hit 15-20 HRs, and had a .450 OBP, I could ignore that for three months.
