I hope they call up Pat Venditte. I'd love to see this kid confuse major league switch hitters.

Greg - are there any young prospects in A or AA that we should be keeping our eyes on? (Like Jose Tabata, if he hadn't been traded.)

There are a ton of pitching prospects up and down the farm system. As for position players there aren't as many, but there are a few.

At AA there are several: Austin Jackson is the top position player the Yanks have in their system and will probably be the Yankees starting CF'er in 2010. Maybe sooner.

Jesus Montero is also another big name in the system. He's a catcher at Charleston. He has a lot of power.

Apparently the Yankees also like Reegie Corona, Bradley Suttle and Chris Malec a lot.

Juan Miranda (1B) Colin Curtis (OF), Austin Romine (C), Francisco Cervelli (C) and Carmen Angelini (SS) were all in Baseball America's preseason top 25 Yankees Prospects.
