Enough of Ed Randall

It's bad enough that we fans have not be able to hear Bob Sheppard this season, but at least Jim Hall tries to sound like him. Ed Randall, on the other hand, makes Yankee Stadium sound like a NBA game from the Midwest. Seriously, he had to go. The Yankees cannot have that kind of voice doing PA at Yankees game. I'm sure this was just temporary, but it cannot go on. Get Jim Hall back now.

Yea, it just didn't sound right.

Does anyone know why Jim Hall wasn't there?

Lets just roll Bob Shepherd in there. He can do it.

I searched for it, Hall was out of town at a wedding.

They should have brought in Billy Crystal. He does an awesome "Bob Sheppard".

Mike I was thinking the same thing. I'd rather have him out there doing his Sheppard impression than Randall. Or even Hall.

Indeed!... I was there Saturday for Old Timer's. I believe that they had Jim Hall recorded when 'Those that Passed' was announced. When regulation game started, my brother and I said "Who the hell is that,... he's TERRIBLE!". And that hoaky "Ladies and Gentleman, BOYS AND GIRLS" over and over. Man, I hope that this isn't where Yankee tradition is going for the new Stadium. ALWAYS... ALWAYS have a dignified 'Bob Shepard like' announcer forever. Now THAT'S Yankee tradition!

No offense Ed Randall; I like your knowledge and radio show, but...

Long live Bob; PLEASE COME BACK... WE MISS YOU.

"Ladies and Gentleman, BOYS AND GIRLS" God that's horrible, even worse than Michael Kay's laughter.
