Joba Could Start in Minors This Weekend

According to Mark Feinsand there is a chance that Joba Chamberlain could pitch in a minor league game this weekend. He is scheduled to throw 45 pitches in his third bullpen session tomorrow, and if all goes well the next step will be a simulated game, or a start with either Trenton or Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

"It's possible, we just have to see how he feels after (tomorrow's) bullpen session," Joe Girardi said. "If he comes out all right, that's what you talk about with the next step; that he needs to see some hitters."

Also, according to Kat O'Brien, and Joba himself, there is also a chance that he could even return to the Yankees roster after his next bullpen session:
Chamberlain said he doesn't think he needs to face hitters in a minor- league or simulated game before being activated from the DL. Said Chamberlain: "No, I don't think so. I don't think the hitters are going to be any different. Just to see them? I don't know."
I wish the Yankees would just tell people what was going to happen next, I don't know why they are handling this like it's this huge secret nobody can know about. It would put an end to all of this speculation, which would be nice.
