The Yankees seem to be the early-line favorite to sign free-agent right-hander Freddy Garcia, who is ready to return to action after undergoing shoulder surgery last year, while the Mets and Rays are also expected to be strong suitors.I doubt he will save their season, but he could be a nice addition. And who knows, he may pitch so well he could end up on the 2009 staff.

I really believe he could be a very good pickup. He's always been able to pitch, so if he can return to form he could be a very nice surprise.
if he goes to the Rays, he will be stellar. if he signs with us, he will suck. that's how it goes
