Hey, whats up man?

Nah, doesn't seem like anyone's around. Not too many comments with the games as meaningless as they are.

what do you guys think of aceves?...think we got something with him?...or another ian kennedy?...

Greg Cohen said...

I think he could be a decent back of the rotation guy. He seems to knows how to pitch, he's aggressive and doesn't walk too many. And his stuff should be good enough to succeed.

Jon Bachrach said...

He Greg,

Just saw the post. Unfortunately I am not aware of who Aceves is

Greg Cohen said...

He's the guy pitching for the Yanks tonight. He's a 25 year old rookie, this is his second major league start.

Jon Bachrach said...

Oh cool. Was he trained by the yankees?

Anonymous said...

think the yankees throw him in a package for someone while he's got some value?...

Greg Cohen said...

Jonny,

Trained? You must mean the minor leagues.

This was his first year in the Yankees minor league system. He used to play in the Mexican Leagues.

Anon,

Possibly anonymous. But I know Cashman was very high on him, so if he succeeds and Cashman stays on as Yanks' GM, there is a good chance he will hold on to him.

i just got back from the game. it looks like they are hiding something in the black section of the bleachers. there is a big rectangular piece of plywood covering something. could it be a big neon #51 to be unveiled during the last game? only time will tell.

Greg Cohen said...

Interesting...

Did you get a picture?

Greg Cohen said...

I found a picture of the black seats, http://tinyurl.com/6nx8sg

Is that what you're talking about?

M-Rod said...

yeah. i dont remember seeing it before. so maybe it isnt plywood. i just pulled up a pic i took from a game in june and it definitely wasnt there

Greg Cohen said...

That pic was from the weekend so it could be new.
