Ahhhh, yes, the great derek jeter and his DP's. A big 24 of them this year. But, but, but he's the alltime hits leader at so and so stadium which will never be broken....blah blah blah.

Hughes sucks. Cashman sucks. This FO sucks and anybody that evaluates talents sucks. The players suck. None of these players can calm down and just throw. They all overthrow and try to do too much. Just like Afraud the biggest loser of them all.

This is exactly why this team SUCKS. This garbage white sox pitcher has like 30 pitches through 3 innings. Hughes, the great Cashman player that couldn't be traded for the best lefty in the game, can't get out of the 1st innning with less than 30 pitches.

Phil Coke was put on the list for the Pirates to pick in the Marte/Nady trade. That just shows how bad Brian Cashman sucks. He has done nothing but run this franchise into the ground.
Hughes' pitching performance tonight was absolute disgrace and failure. What did he improve on? Nothing. Contreras should be fired too. The only thing Hughes has is a cutter instead of a slider now. Big deal. He can't locate his fast ball which is nothign special anyways, well, it is SPECIALLY straight. And, his curveball sucks and hangs. Great combination.
So if we could combine Kennedy's changeup with Hughes' cutter than we might have a decent relief pitcher. You're brilliant Cashman, really flipping brilliant.
If the twins wanted Hughes, Kennedy, Melky and Nady for Santana it would not have been enough. That's how bad Hughes and Kennedy is along with Cashman's GM skills.

Another atrocious inning and at-bat for Afraud, the great imitator. But, who wouldn't know that from his name, his number, his race and his religion.
How was Hughes' start a "disgrace and failure"? He gave up one run. His only problem tonight was he got into too many deep counts. It's not like they were hitting the ball hard.
Simple, 89 pitches in 4 innings. If that it was you expect from a starter then that's your business gnat strainer. If you think it was good or average that's your businees.
He has no out pitch whatsoever, he has no DP pitch, he can't locate his pitches STILL and he doesn't get ahead of batters. What did he improve on in the minors? It was a terrible performance for a starter. It would be fine for a reliever which is all that he is, maybe. He's another nobody that the Yankee FO is high on and no one else is like Kennedy. Another overvalued project from Cashman.
And, I see we are back to the same old same old with Melky and Cano in the lineup. A 3 hitter from the HOFer Richard. Add Hughes into the mix and it feels like May.
Girardi is stupid. Cashman is stupid.

It wasn't a good start, but it wasn't a failure and a disgrace. You're overreacting, to everything.
Why not make Phil Coke a starter? He does have good stuff and know how to throw strikes.
He could definitely start if the Yankees wanted him to, he's done it before.
I'm just not sure he would be as effective as a starter.
