10/8 AFL and Hawaii Winter Ball Report

People seemed to like these during the regular season, so I'll post nightly reports on the Hawaii Winter Ball and the Arizona Fall League.

First in the AFL the Peoria Javelinas beat the Surprise Rafters 8-7: Box Score - Recap

Jeff Marquez pitched in relief for the Javelinas and pitched well. In two innings he allowed no runs on one hit, did not walk a batter, and struck out two. He threw 28 pitches, 18 of them for strikes.

Austin Jackson went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.

In Hawaii Winter Ball the Waikiki BeachBoys lost to the Honolulu Sharks 3-1: Box Score - Recap

Damon Sublett went 1-for-3 and Austin Romine went 0-for-2.
