How about them Rays?

I never thought this team had a chance, not in April, or June, or September, not yesterday. Even tonight when they were up 3-1 in the 8th I thought they would blow the game. But, as we all know now, they didn't, and they're heading to the World Series.

I guess I shouldn't have doubted them.

Congratulations to the Rays, and thanks for sending Boston home. Because that's really what matters here, it's the only reason I'm happy or even care about this. The last thing I wanted to see was the Red Sox win another ring.

Boston, this song is for you:

By the way, I'm rooting for Philly in the World Series. And yes, it's just because if they win it will bother Mets fans.

Yep, who'd a thunk that the Rays would pull it off. Good for them. Now perhaps the Philles will win it all.

And who'd a thunk that such a video existed on You Tube? What's that I see? A Gibson (or is it a Guild? I can't quite make out the shape of the headstock) bass?

What an appropriate video for our "friends" in Beantown (and we all know what beans produce, no?)!

Nope, the Rays were the bad guys in this one. Ever since I saw the T-shirts proclaiming "We conquered a dynasty". Excuse me? Time for a reality check Tampa fans. I believe the Yanks won the head-to-head contest this year with the Rays. Once Tampa has won more World Series than the Pinstripers they can say they conquered a dynasty.

I was pulling for Boston in this series. They're a bunch of hooligans, but at least hooligans with a history. I hope Philly can send these upstarts packing with a sweep.

How can anyone even take Tampa seriously. How many games have they sold out? Are they finally going to take the tarp off the vast swath of unsold seats that have been covered up for the longest time. Last I checked Boston and New York don't have trouble selling out a stadium. Conquered a dynasty my foot.

Thank you Rays!

As much as a Yankee fan I am I can't really rip on Boston too hard for losing to the Rays.

No Manny, no Lowell, Beckett and Drew banged up, Jacoby sucking, crummy bullpen and Kotsay at 1b and Ortiz dead.

I gained alot of respect for Boston watching them this series. Plus I can't cheer for a team that has no history.

I don't think anyone is ripping the Red Sox, they were a good team, definitely better than the Yankees were this year. But I'm very happy to see their season end, that's all.

And Jeff, who cares about a t-shirt? This is the Red Sox we're talking about, you can't root for them.

Seriously guys, no Yankees fan should ever want to see the Red Sox win anything. Their history is meaningless, they are our biggest rivals and I would hope no Red Sox fan would ever root for the Yankees either.

I don't like or respect the Rays either, I'm just glad they knocked out the Red Sox.

What the hell is wrong with some of you? How could you possibly be rooting for Boston? Some you people are seriously losing it. I couldn't be happier today.

I'll be rooting for Philly for the same reasons Greg, I want Mets fans to cringe since I can't have Red Sox fans cringing at the sight of Manny crushing balls at Fenway in another uniform.

Gain respect for Boston? Are you kidding me? You think anyone feels sorry for the Yankees? Thank you Tampa! It would have been much better had they won it in 5 games instead of 7.

I've never seen so many articles on a team that doesn't make the playoffs like they write about the Yankees. No one seems to care about the Royals or Pirates when they miss the playoffs for the 20th straight year!

I can rest and enjoy the World Series now.
