Joba Releases a Statement

Joba Chamberlain has released a statement about yesterday's DUI arrest:
"I want to apologize to the New York Yankees and the fans for an error in judgment and for putting myself in a difficult situation. I intend to properly resolve this situation, and do not intend to be in such a situation again. My goal is to focus on pitching for the Yankees in the 2009 season."

"error in judgement"? Buying the cheap brand of hot dogs is an error in judgement, drinking and driving is a major idiot mistake. And if he thinks he's in a difficult situation now, imagine the difficult situation he'd be in if he had run someone over.

I'm glad he released a statement, and let's hope he means it when he says it won't happen again, and hopefully nothing similar happens either.

Yep, I couldn't agree more.

This is the first I've heard of this. All I can say is "and here we go...."
