The New York Yankees will sort through their offseason plans when organizational meetings begin Thursday at the team's spring training complex.Co-chairmen Hank and Hal Steinbrenner were to participate in the sessions along with team president Randy Levine, chief operating officer Lonn Trost and general manager Brian Cashman.
"It's to set our offseason priorities, certainly, and what we need to try and do," Hank Steinbrenner said Wednesday. "This year, we definitely are all pretty much on the same page. We know what we have to do, and it's going to take a lot of work and a lot of effort. Hopefully we can get as much done as we hope."
"Our goal is to win the World Series," Steinbrenner said. "This year was a little strange because the American League East was so powerful. We finished third because of the division we're in. But, is it acceptable for us to be with what we ended up with? No, it's not. So we're going to do what we can to correct that."
It was also mentioned in the article that Joba Chamberlain's role will be discussed as well as free agent and trade targets.
Well go get 'em fellas. It's time to get this team headed in the right direction. In other words, figure out how to sign CC and Teixeira.

They can also figure out what to send as the next Mr. Madonna's wedding gift.
What did Hank say? Did he say "We finished third because of the division we're in." Bad Hank BAD!!!
Hank....SHUT UP!!!We had a team with the best hitters and ok pitching. You got hitters like Jeter, A-Rod, Abreu, Nady, Big G, Matsui. And you guys finish third. Sad huh Hank. You guys woild be lucky if we signed CC, Tex.,and trade cano and sign Hudson. I think signing all of those players and trading players the way we wanted them to go. The Yankees have to win the World Series.
This year it looks like Rays vs. Phillies.
