- Robinson Cano (Estrellas) went 0-for-4 to drop his average to .264.
- Melky Cabrera (Aguilas) went 1-for-6 to drop his average to .315.
- Wilkins Arias (Aguilas) pitched two scoreless innings in relief, he did not allow a hit, and he walked two and struck out two.
- Oneli Perez (Licey) pitched 0.2 of an inning, and retired both batters he faced.
- Ramiro Pena (Culiacan) went 1-for-4 with a double. He's now hitting .254.
- Edwar Gonzalez (Lara) went 2-for-4 to raise his average to .356.
Many people have been asking about Ian Kennedy, and why he hasn't pitched in ten days or so. Well thanks to Peter Abraham we now know why. He is back home after I assume was his innings limit. He threw 34.2 innings in six starts in Puerto Rico, going 2-2 with a 1.56 ERA. He also struck out 31 and walked 12. He was very impressive and hopefully he can carry that over into next season.
- Melky Cabrera (Aguilas-Dominican) Melky's having a very good winter league. This week he went 7-20 with a 2-run homer. He also had a 4 strikeout game Saturday. Totals -- .315 (28-69), 12 RBI, 19 runs, 14 K--13 walks, OBP .412
- Ian Kennedy (Mayaguez-Puerto Rico) is finished at Puerto Rico and had a great winter league. Kennedy finished with a 2-2 record and terrific 1.56 ERA. In 34.2 IP, 6 runs, 19 hits, 31 K---12 walks, BAA .164, Whip 0.89.
- Jorge Vasquez (Culiacan-Mexico) "El Cato" a 26 year old righty hitting 1st baseman was recently signed by the Yanks. He's played in the Mexican league for 10 years. Vasquez winter league numbers are very impressive. Totals -- .348 (69-198), 15 HR, 46 rbi, 50 K-23 BB, OBP .415
- Ramiro Pena (Culiacan-Mexico) went 5-23 this week in Mexico. Totals -- .254 (29-114), 9 RBI, 13 runs, 14 K -- 3 walks. OBP .283
- Walter Ibarra (Hermosillo-Mexico) played in only 1 game this week going 1-4. Totals .200 (15-75), 2 RBI, 3 runs, 17 K--6 walks.
- Francisco Cervelli ( Lara-Venezuela) playing sparingly, was 1-3 with a RBI single. Totals .245 (12-49), 3 RBI, 9 runs, 1 HR, 12 K--9 walks.
- Edwar Gonzalez ( Lara-Venezuela ) resigned as a minor league free agent recently. Gonzalez had a very good year at Trenton and is tearing it up at the Venezuelan winter league. This week he went 9-22 Totals -- .356 (26-73), 10 RBI, 3 HR, 16 K--4 BB, OBP .392
Dominican League: Robinson Cano and Wady Rufino are playing for Estrellas de Oriente. Melky Cabrera and Wilkins Arias are playing for Aguilas Cibaenas. Abraham Almonte is playing for Leones del Escogido. And Oneli Perez and Amaury Sanit are playing for Tigres del Licey.
Puerto Rican League: Ian Kennedy and Jonathan Albaladejo are on Indios de Mayaguez. And Bernie Williams will play for Gigantes de Carolina.
Mexican League: Ramiro Pena and Jorge Vasquez are playing for Tomateros de Culiacan. And Walter Ibarra is on Naranjeros de Hermosillo.
Venezuelan League: Francisco Cervelli, Edwar Gonzalez and Carlos Mendoza are playing for Cardenales de Lara. And Edgar Soto and Luis Nunez are on Aguilas del Zulia.

Cano isn't doing too hot. These really were the results I was hoping for with this new batting stance. Only one homer and a .264 average. Hopefully next season he does a lot better.
He started off very well, but he hasn't been hitting for a little while now. I'm a little concerned by the recent funk he's in.
