Cashman To Have Sitdown With CC

According to the AP, Brian Cashman plans to meet with CC Sabathia at some point this weekend before the winter meetings.

Cashman's meeting with Boras and intention to meet with Sabathia were disclosed by separate baseball officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because the Yankees did not announce Cashman's plans.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at one of these meetings.

yeah me too, i may have the opportunity of going in acouple of years, some older students are going to the meetings from my college.

hopefully sabathia realizes we want him the most, not to mention we're offering him much more money than anyone else. come on cc, i can see that # 52 pinstriped uniform. it looks sexy.

In my experience, the two biggest things that players care about are money and/or an opportunity to win. The Yankees provide both of those things. If Sabathia goes somewhere with less chance to win and less money, then it's clear his mindset isn't right to be in NY, and we might as well save the $140M+ and put it to better use elsewhere.

The yankees need pitching, no question. Yankees are a lock for the playoffs if they add Sabathia. I actually think that C.C. is going to net over $160 million from the Yankees to pry him away from the NL and the West Coast. $140 million is just a starting point, which is rediculous but we have the salary room to do so. Check out my blog, I talk about the Yankees revamped rotation: theyankeesdollar.blogspot.com

(new blogger, feedback would be awesome, thanks)

Can't wait for the outcome next week. Yanks will improve for 2009. I'm sure Hank told Cashman, this offseason it will be different. And you know, he means business !
