I'm assuming this means everything went smoothly. The Post learned Burnett underwent a physical Monday and Sabathia was at Manhattan's Columbia Presbyterian Hospital today for tests.
The Yankees have scheduled a press conference for 1 p.m. Thursday at the old Yankee Stadium. Though there is a chance they will introduce both free agent hurlers, a source said this afternoon that wasn't finalized.

I don't know why, but i'm looking foward to seeing CC and A.J don the pinstripes for the first time.
So am I.
For CC, the vertical stripes will help. Wonder if after the physical he ate an entire NY pizza.
what number will aj be? marte is 34? 36 maybe?,33?
He had no. 34 last year so I assume he'll pick that.
marte is 34... maybe he'll ask for marte for it
Oh that's right. He'll probably give it up. I'm sure he'll buy Marte a watch or something.
I think this is so funny:
So, when you search for CC Sabathia in "Players" on MLB.com, he comes up on the Brewers website, wearing a Yankees uniform!
yeah, AJ will probably have to buy Marte a Rolex or something, seeing that that's what Damon did for Bubba Crosby (#18) and Abreu for Larry Bowa (#53). I am really looking forward for both of these pitchers to wear pinstripes. I would like to see the Yankees to go after another bat, but that might just be a miracle that Santa, or Cashman, cannot pull off.
Yanks o9
After there physicals, they can smoke all the pot they want.
Anon,
Yeah, maybe you could join them.
What the fuck are you, a Sox fan?
Marte wore 43 throughout his career, the only reason he had 34 was because Rasner is wearing it. Now that Rasner is gone, I'm 99% sure Marte will go back to 43, and Burnett takes 34.
Good point Ed.
He'll get 34.
I'm 99.9% sure that Marte will take 43.
Anon,
WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!! CC and AJ are the best pitchers coming to the yankees and you make fun of them. Thats Bull S***.
I almost forgot, Red Sox fans at my school are not happy. Thank You Jesus!!!
I wasn't particularly high on either of these pitchers the past couple years. When their names were mentioned at the beginning of this off-season, despite my reluctance, I felt that CC needed to be signed, and that AJ wouldn't be the end of the world. If (and obviously that's the big if), they both stay fully healthy, they're the kind of energetic, competitive, dynamic, ace-stuff type pitchers that can carry this franchise combined with very nice compliments of Wang and Joba. If those 4 are healthy and get close to 30 starts each, the team is going to be incredibly difficult to beat. That's not even taking into account whoever we get for our 5th.
