Question, don't they plan to put windows to those openings? i mean, what's going to happen when it rains? just saying...

Whats going to happen when it rains? nothing there is a roof. Unless there is a hurricane the rain fall will not make it very far into the hall. I find it funny how people cant seem to wrap there minds around some of the new aspects to these stadiums. For example look at the rangers ballpark at arlington they have a similar windowless hall outside of the interior building. Now obviously they dont get as much rain but lets be real people, dont you think the engineers look into these things. Common sense is what it is called use it please.

Hey idiot, sense would be putting windows you tard. Water reaches the ground, thousands of people walking, people could slip jackass.

People are walking around wet sidewalks all across the country and they don't slip. Why are you calling people names? You're the one that is missing the obvious here. Stadiums all across the country have open concourses and open upper deck concourses, etc, that get wet all the time. People don't slip on CONCRETE (like sidewalks and the great hall), they slip on wet marble or polished flooring.

I don't know why people think the great hall is any different than any other open concourse type place anywhere else. Somehow people have assumed the great hall will be made of ultra-buffed marble. Have you people ever been outside in the rain? How often do you slip on a wet driveway or a concrete sidewalk?

Thank you to the peson who posted above. Listen take a trip to arlington and ask those people if they have problems with the open windows in there hall. Like i said there is less rain down there and it is hot more often but regardless the yankees hall will be very nice with open windows. Use your brain first without posting this crap for once. This stadium costs over a billion and was designed by some of the most talented and well educated professionals in the world. Dont you think these people would account for your rain problem? and consider it? Believe me they have considered it and obviously accounted for it. If the rain was going to wash over everything in the great hall and great a shower in there dont you think it would be a problem for the huge LED screen and board that runs the entire length of the hall. Or the other television screens that they have in there? The bottom line is that you are viewing this part of the stadium incorrectly. This Great hall is simply a semi-indoor concourse it is not meant to be the actual concourse of the stadium. Simply a transitional area from the inside to the outside. Where people can meet, shop , walk to museum , hardrock etc. In other words you wont be standing in there waiting online to get in the bathroom or order food. You wont be expected to go there when a rain delay happens either. There is an entire indoor concourse for that.
