Three Yankees Headed To Arbitration

The 10-day salary arbitration filing period ended yesterday, and all three Yankees did file.

From Bryan Hoch:
The Yankees' Brian Bruney, Melky Cabrera and Xavier Nady joined a group of 111 Major League players who filed for salary arbitration on Thursday.

Of the three players, Nady's situation could be the most prominent. The Yankees have actively engaged the trade market to see what Nady -- a free agent after the 2009 season -- could potentially bring back in a deal, weighing their options in clearing a crowded outfield mix.

The arbitration figures are set to be exchanged on January 20th, and hearings will take place from February 1st through February 21st.

Let's hope Mr. Randy Levin won't dance and cartwheel and let out a shriek "THEEE YANKEEEEEES WINNNN!" in excitement after beating another player in arbitration this year.
