Posada Injury Update

I forgot to mention this before, but in the same article from Anthony McCarron about Posada defending Torre, Jorge talked a little about his rehab.
"The beginning (of rehab in early December) was tough, I can't lie to you," Posada said. "It's not easy to rehab from major surgery. But I saw improvement every time I threw the baseball, so it was rewarding. I have no pain, I'm able to do a lot of strength stuff with no pain and I can swing the bat real well."
McCarron also reported that Jorge worked out at the Yankees' player development complex in Tampa on today, and that he still believes he will be ready by Opening Day.

No pain, why the hell wouldn't he be ready.

I'm really concerned about him throwing in cold weather. As they do with pitchers rehabbing from surgery, I would hope that they leave him in a warm climate until May.

The guy is getting old. He's not going to be the same behind the plate.

That's why he needs to hit, and hit with power, to offset the inevitable defensive decline. If he rushes back, he risks losing his ability to SLG.

yeah well get use to it because the genius behind all of this gave him a 4 year contract.

There were two geniuses, since Hank and Hal overruled Cashman, who didn't want to go to four years.
