More on the A-Rod front, but at least it's something positive. David Segui, close friend and former teammate of Alex's in Seattle, has come out and said that A-Rod was clean in Seattle.
From Joel Sherman:
Segui was a big roid-head himself so he should have a pretty decent idea about who was using and who wasn't."I never suspected him of taking steroids [with Seattle]," Segui said in a phone interview. "He wasn't big. He didn't have the body of a guy taking steroids. Obviously, there are different steroids for different results. But most guys involved with [steroids] are hitting the weights pretty hard. And that was not the case with him. I would be really surprised if he was using in his time with Seattle."
Was he equally surprised by A-Rod's confession of steroid use as a Ranger?
"I am not surprised to hear anyone used it," said Segui, who played for seven teams between 1990-2004. "[Steroids were] definitely around. I am not surprised anyone used it. No name would shock me. Someone who says they never even considered it is full of [bleep]. Everyone considered it. Not everyone did it, but everyone considered it."

A-Rod should merely have said that he used steroids from 2001-2003 but that he wasn't going to comment beyond that.
No matter what the "media" tries to pretend, they weren't going to believe or be satisfied with anything he said apart from an admission so why bother going down that slippery slope?
They resent the heck out of A-Rod and now that they seem to have the upper hand, they are going to pound him down as much as possible because it makes some of them feel better about themselves.
This is pretty pointless, he really doesn't make any sense, but its all good, can't hurt to have some support.
At least it's better than another person throwing him under the bus.
