We take him at his word that he was. Although we are disappointed in the mistake he spoke to today, we realize that Alex -- like all of us -- is a human being not immune to fault.

Alex took a big step by admitting his mistake, and while there is no condoning the use of performance enhancing drugs, we respect his decision to take accountability for his actions. That's true.
To be honest, he's probably worse.
On the bright side, perhaps this will lessen the attention - and thus pressure - on Sabathia and Tex, and allow them to just go out and perform. If so, this could be a blessings in disguise, as far as the team's fortunes are concerned.

Haha, when we signed Teix and CC, I was like "Oh good, this will take some pressure off of A-Rod", now it's the opposite.
Yeah Gregg, but you know the minute this thing hit Cashman and Levine were looking for a way to get out of this contract or cut the incentives.
