The Braves hit three solo homers on way to their 3-1 victory against the Yankees. Chien-Ming Wang started for the Yanks, and besides one hanging change up he pitched very well. In three innings he allowed one run on three hits, did not walk a batter and struck out two. He threw 33 pitches 27 of them for strikes. The one run he gave up came on a solo homer off the bat of Casey Kotchman. He also tested his right foot on a the first batter of the game. Josh Anderson pushed a bunt between first base and the pitchers mound and Wang had to sprint off the mound and field the ball, and flipped the ball with his glove to Mark Teixeira at first to to get the runner.

Brett Tomko also pitched three innings. He allowed one run on three hits and struck out three. He gave up a solo homer to Greg Norton.

Kanekoa Teixeira pitched 0.1 of an inning an allowed one hit.

Wilkin De La Rosa pitched 0.2 of an inning allowing just one walk.

Michael Dunn finished off the game with a perfect inning.

Phil Coke pitched one inning, and allowed one run on one hit, a solo homer off the bat of Brandon Jones.

Not much offense for the Yanks today as they were only able to muster up one run on six hits.

Mark Teixeira went 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Justin Leone went 1-for-3 with a RBI.

Hideki Matsui, John Rodriguez, and P.J. Pilittere both went 1-for-2.

Cody Ransom also picked up a hit and went 1-for-3.

I was watching the Puerto Reico and Panama game on ESPN and Bernie pinch hit. I was calling everybody into the family room to watch, but when they intentionally walked him, DAMN I was mad.

Its gonna really suck when a major star gets hurt during the WBC. its a joke of a tournament, baseball is becoming more and more of a joke, Selig, Donald Fehr & the players union needs to be replace/broken.
