Braves Beat Yanks 3-2

The Yankees lost again today, the fifth time in six games since opening the spring 2-0. The only other game was a 5-5 tie against the Astros on Monday. But in reality who cares? Spring training games don't matter.

Ian Kennedy started the game for the Yankees and in three innings two earned runs on three hits and a walk.

Dan Giese also pitched three innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk while striking out three.

Andrew Brackman threw one perfect inning, and Mark Melancon also threw one scoreless and allowed just one hit.

The Yankees two RBI came from Johnny Damon who went 1-for-2 with a walk, a triple, and an RBI, and Juan Miranda who went 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.

The only other Yankees to pick up hits were Xavier Nady who went 1-for-3 with a run, Angel Berroa who went 1-for-3, and pitcher Dan Giese who went 1-for-2 with a run scored.

The Yankees take on Team Canada tomorrow afternoon at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Joba Chamberlain will start for the Yankees. And the game is set for 1:15 p.m.
