New Stadium "Superflush" Photos and Slideshow

Apparently a superflush is when they flush all the toilets in the place to make sure it works. Here's what it say at the end of the slide show.
"NY Yankee Stadium Super Flushing Day was an exercise to check for leaks and to see if there would be enough water pressure.

After two unsuccessful attempts, we succeded on our third try."
This video slideshow was added to Youtube today by dVizNana, and the pictures in the slideshow were taken yesterday.

And here's some pictures from Flickr member Hardcore Shutterbug, I believe it's the same source as the pictures in the slideshow.

i swear, i hate the new stadium, but at the same time i love it. i think it looks good. even though that outfield turns me off something serious. but all-in-all, it looks good. it really came up from just being park land a few years ago. lookin' at it, u would think that macombs dam park and mulally park never existed in that spot. think of this. yankee stadium hasn't been knocked down yet because it wants to see how it's precessedor does in it's first year. if we suceed, the stadium goes in peace. if not, then who knows lol. just a little thought for the mind. but hey, it does look good though. hopefully i can make it here for my b'day!

stupid hard rock cafe what a joke

I definitely agree with not loving the outfield. There's nothing special about it, should have just copied the old one. The bleachers should also be blue like they were in the old one. too much white. Also interesting to note that it seems the new stadium will have pepsi products...

The bleachers are gray not white.

Not sure why people hate the Hard Rock Cafe there are other alternatives if you don't want to eat there.

ok, let me ask this: if the white sox was able to fix up comiskey park and make it become u.s. cellular field, and never went anywhere else to play while the whole stadium was being renovated, why couldn't the yankees do that with yankee stadium. why did they have to build a completely new stadium that's smaller than the original, even though the real original sat around 80,000 people. why couldn't they fix it up and renovate the stadium during the offseason, or do little things during the regular season? they could put more luxury boxes in the stadium, and still have 57,000 seats in there. but i'm just a big yankees fan, my opinion don't mean anything!

and i still wanna know if you can see part of the stadium on the 4 train, like u could with the old stadium? lol

They already renovated the park in 73. Another renovation? No one renovates multiple times. If you do need to renovated multiple times then it's a sign you need a new building.

Anon,

Boston has added and renovated parts of Fenway multiple times.

word, fenway has been goin' through ongoing renovations since i have no clue when. and they still play there, and all is well in red sox nation. u dont see anyone in boston talkin' about we need a new stadium. there keeping fenway. why can't we keep yankee stadium. ok, yeah, it got renovated back in 73, and i wasn't even born way back then, but still, why can't it get renovated again? your messing with history here. the 3 oldest parks in mlb is fenway, wrigley, and yankee stadium. so if 2 of them can get renovated, even when there were talks about getting the sox and cubs new stadiums, and everyone was like "no way", then why does yankee stadium need to get torn down for? you can do whatever you want to yankee stadium, i mean hell the yankees have the money to do it. they say yankee stadium has old pipes underneath, and blah, blah, blah. big deal. the yankees have the money to replace that. the yankees have the dough to do whatever to keep yankee stadium in tip-top shape. i think it's not fair at all

I suggest you do some research if you think all is well in Boston. Many fans are complaining about how small the place is and how hard it is to get tickets due to the low numbers of seats.
There is even some behind the scenes talk about perhaps getting a new Fenway. But the issues are where to build it and they are worried about the uproar from some fans.
Please! I wouldn't put anything pass those cronies up in Beantown. If push comes to shove that they really need a new park and Fenway just isn't cutting it anymore you can rest assure they will be getting a park.

As far as renovating. When you renovate usually the whole building is somewhat gutted. If you look online you can find pictures of how a full blown renovation was done to Old Yankee Stadium.
Fenway added seats over the years and done some things hear and there but they never really fully renovated the place. At-least not to my knowledge.
If you can provide some links or pictures from which Fenway had a full renovation I would appreciate it.

seriously look at the new place its absolutly amazing...state of the art...i am going to miss the old park but i think you will be very very happy once you watch a game in the new place or should i say palace...and not for nothing fenway is a dump and the arm pit of all mlb parks..yes its old and has history but it sucks to watch a game there

Fenway is probably more of a dumb then Shea was.

U.S. Cellular is a different park. They built it next door to the old Comiskey, just like the Yankees and Mets just did. It wasn't a renovation, it was a new park.
