St. Patrick's Day at the Yankee Bar

I saw this on Baseball-Fever tonight and thought this was pretty fitting considering what day it is. It's a Yankees bar built by this guy named Chris Shaffer:

I'd like one of those in my house.

Chris has his own website with some more pictures of the bar as well as some shots of the construction of the bar.

Also, do any of you have anything like this your home?

looks like a gay clubhouse

hahahahah, OK, the neon lights are a bit much, but the actual bar itself is pretty cool.

His Frieze has more detail than the new Yankee Stadium.

The sad thing is you're right.

That's the renovated YS frieze from the top of the scoreboard. I always felt like that version of the frieze was too chunky... it looks fat compared to both the original frieze and the new frieze. While the new frieze lacks detail, it's closer to the original in terms of overal scale and feel, which is what I like about it.

That's an awesome bar. The flamingo and the palm tree neon don't quite fit, but awesome either way.

wow is all I can say. I wish I could put something like that in my home.

Geez, I thought it must be Barney Frank's house when I first saw the pics, and then I realized he must be a Sux...I mean a Sox fan.

I'm just full of it today--like all the other days, no?

I like the concept, but the execution leaves a bit to be desired.

lol

Besides the neon lights I think it's pretty cool. What don't you like about it, Mike?

Besides the neon I don't know what there is not to like about this bar. Good job by the guy who built it.

Thanks guys. Just found this blog thanks to a few e-mails I received. You guys are right, the palm tree and pink flamingo don't quite fit. LOL. They were just fun, and were a poor substitute for the cool Corona Palm Tree neon sign I really wanted, but couldn't afford.
The facade was custom made, it wasn't cheap but well worth it IMO and if anyone else is interested in it, shoot me an e-mail at cshaffer18 @ yahoo.com (remove spaces) and I'll send you the details.

Hey Chris, welcome to the blog, and I hope you don't mind me posting those pics.

With or without the neon the bar is awesome. Great work dude!
