The rest come from Ross over at New Stadium Insider. Apparently the construction company that built the new stadium were allowed to have a corporate cookout where the old field used to be. You can see more pictures of the cookout here.

Here's a few new pictures of the destruction of Yankee Stadium. The first comes to us from Baseball-Fever member Yankeefan3783.

I wonder how much that crook Steiner is going to try and hock those seats for. I want a pair.
This is pointless.
Knock down this puppy quickly so there wont be a wind tunnel at the new stadium.
is it too late to play this season in old/remodeled stadium, so engineers can fix the $1.5B HOMERUN DERBY stadium?
What's pointless Anon?
I hear there's still some old sections of seats from the "original" stadium under the seats of the lower level in the place they're now demolishing. I don't know if it's true or not, but that's what I've heard for years. Of course, those wouldn't be the original seats as they put blue seats in the place around 1968or so.
Sort of like those old "subway stations under existing subway station stories" I've heard over the years (which are true, by the way).
Who knows?
Mike
Brutal to see. I just want them to go back and start playing there again.
i know i am going to get murdered for this but....its very obvious that this building needed tons of upgrading...when i went to the game this past sun you could see in and its amazing how run down it looks...believe me it hurts to watch this and i will truely miss the old girl but it is time and the new building even with its minor flaws its absolutly breath taking...prices will come down and it will be like home again...we will just have to wait for next season
Why is the old "Bud" sign up? That was up like during the latest Yankee dynasty. And for the last couple years they had a modern Budweiser add there. How did that come up?
I hate to look at these photos. It kills me inside. This is like watching my grandma suffer a slow, painful death (just an example, that didn't happen).
Yankeeboy,
I think they just put the news ads on top of the old ones.
Monitoring the destruction of a once great Stadium.
idiocy will prevail and they won't even save the dugouts for the little league field that will go there. they should save the dugouts, and maybe ten rows of the grandstand to just out past the bases, and the diamond. that would not cost much to maintain.
er, not grandstand, but field level seating.
Anon, a lot of people requested that I posted these pics so I guess not everyone feels the way you do.
I agree with Kevin.
There is a sign posted on the outside of the wall you can read from the street near the old right field stands that tells you what they are going to do. Apparently the old diamond will be kept and used for a "tournament field" (I forget the actual wording but it's something to that effect). It says nothing about the dugouts and the first few rows of seats, but keeping both would be a great idea. I think the timetable calls for demolition to be completed summer of 2010 and the new parks ready to go Spring of 2011. They will call the place "Heritage Field." Check that sign the next time you go to a game.
