Melancon, Robertson and Berroa Called Up
According to Pete Abe, Mark Melancon, David Robertson, and Angel Berroa have all been called up to replace Chein-Ming Wang, Brian Bruney, and Cody Ransom on the roster. We all heard out about Robertson last night and the other two we learned about this morning.

Berroa was hitting .316/.365/.491 with 2 HR and 13 RBI in 14 games for Triple-A Scranton. Melancon was 2-0, and had struck out 17 and walked just three in 10.1 innings scoreless innings. And Roberston was 0-1, with a 0.00 ERA, and has struck out 14and walked just two in 8 innings.

Does anybody know when was the last time Robertson pitched?
If we lose Bruney for extended period of time we are screwed. Its time for Sabathia to be the ace and step it up. Same with Teixeira and Marte.
He last pitched on Tuesday.
Time to see what the fuss is all about with Melancon.

Any guesses at to the moves on the 40 man roster? If Bruney is put on the 60 day DL then Melancon can come up without someone being DFA'd. But as excited as I am to see Melancon, I'd be equally disappointed if Bruney goes on the 60 because there's a pretty good chance he's done for the year. For as much as Bruney has turned the corner the last two years, the guy has totally earned my respect. Dropped a ton of weight as well as his control problems to become an extremely effective pitcher.
Thanks greg, thats good he could go couple of innings if necessary. I wonder if Rivera will be available? AJ almost has to pitch a compelete game today. If Rivera is not available who is going to pitch the 8th and 9th. Coke will not be available because he pitch alot yesterday. Should be interesting.
Sanchez should be out of the 40 man.
THe problem with Cashman is that most of the 40 man are pitchers. He is forgetting that you need position players too.
I hope Bruney will be back soon. We need him in our bullpen. I bet if he wasn't injured and he ptiched last night, we would have won the game becasue Mo wouldn't have had to get 4 outs, just a 1-2-3 9th.
