Rodriguez ran 10 times between first and second base -- including twice with a trainer pulling on a strap around his waist -- and also increased his defensive drills, the AP said. Rodriguez charged slow rollers for the first time and extended his range while going after grounders.I would assume that the next move will be playing in a few rehab games.

"...including twice with a trainer pulling on a strap around his waist..."
What good does this do?
It puts resistance on him so that he can test his hip with more stress than normal.
So... what's the offical guess of his return date? May 4th versus Boston?
I'll say May 1st.
April 29th.

Someone pulling you back is good because once you're free you run even faster because you're lighter.
That's actually a good sign they do that. They wouldn't do it if he was experiencing any pain.
Everything works well so far for A-Rod, almost a bit too well. Either he's gonna have a big set back or say something really really dumb in the next couple weeks.
Pulling straps is an ancient roman technique used to build stamina and increase leg agility...
Or so they say
i just went to the stadium for the first time today, it is Sick, its almost too big, its still not Yankee stadium though
@Rich I know, it's still not Yankee Stadium.
I still think he's a week away from rehab games. He's still not doing full workouts with drills inclusing everything, so he still needs to get there before playing in actual games.
But he's probably not too far off. I'll say his first day back is May 8 against the O's.
