its looking pretty nice here - weather is doing ok. this place is huge. its pretty nice park, great views, this fucking ap system is waaaaaay too damn loud - very annoying. its nothing like yankee stadium to me, but the views are pretty great all around

Hey people.. Sitting in sec. 413 right now. Good view and the noise level is surprisingly loud. Probably because of the overhang. Nice start tonight by the Yanks.
Greg, can you take a minute when you have time & describe the field view, distance from the field, change in comfort level, and basically anything you can think of, in comparing the new location to an upper deck location in the old place? Basically, any pros & cons about the 'baseball viewing experience' you can think of. To hear someone do that while they are actually there would be great.
I am anxious for an opinion from a 'real' fan.

The view is pretty good. You don't have the same feeling of being right on top of the field, but its better than I expected.
The entire 215 section is empty and of course the luxurylosers stayed home on a great friday night. The air temp is great.
The cheese steaks are ok - not really worth $10 but they are ok. Johnny rockets is awful. The service is horrible, these people have never worked in vending, and the beer is 11 when its 10 in other places in the stadium. I waited 20min for 2 hotdogs and 2 beers.
The tv is too bright, but the open concourses are gorgeous.
The bleacher views not near the restraunt fiasco are fantastic. I took a look from the terrance and the views there are also great, if set back quite more. The main deck where I am in 213 is really great value - not as great as field level at the old park - but these seats are less expensive too. Most of the main secs are full, except 215. I would not buy seats in 215 or you'll sit by yourself like the losers in the lux seats.
Oh the nazis guarding each section are assholes - even here on the main. I was carrying a ton of food and the seats here are half empty and these asshats insisted on looking at my ticket. The yankees need to chill out. Its not that big a deal if a few people move down and happen to have to move.
I hope Swisher isn't hurt. We need his bat.
Once again, Jeter's range kills us, Girardi's lack of managing and another Yankee starter blowing a big lead. Yup, I am so glad that Melancon is the answer....
There simply is no excuse for this team, or the pitching.
And, lets not forget who the catcher was to BOTH blown leads.....
once again the Angels get the big hits when they need them vs. us. 6 runs all with 2 outs.. this would be yet another terrible loss

And, once again, another huge scoring by the opposing team while Jorge Posada is catching. Nah, he couldn't be the problem. The only reason these bunch of bums in the BP last year were decent was due to Molina. Posada is a killer. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Great comeback the last two inning were great baseball not trying to do too much just go the other way and keep the line moving.
Great job Pena he is hitting 330 now. Great job by Gardner coming off the bench gets a single scores a run and draws a walk. And Cano is a hitting machine.

I sat in the $2500 seats for the first Angel game last night. 4th row behind home plate on the aisle. Must say it was an experience! We first ate at the Legends Club. The money that was spent in these restaurants and bar areas was sick. The bathrooms have TVs that project on the mirrors. Not inbedded on the mirror or a TV with a mirror surrounding it. No some technology where the TV picture is projected onto the mirror. Must cost a small fortune. The food was great, top shelf and included in the price of the ticket. Because we got there after 6 pm we did not get to our seats until the 2nd inning. Just like the rich SOBs that always occupy this section of the stadium. There is so much behind the scene the game becomes secondary.
As I had always suspected and said many times on this site, no view of monumnet park from this level. Nothing, nada. Just a dark area for the batter's eye. If you just came to the stadium from Kansas you would have no idea what's out there. To our right was Jeb Bush and to our left was Rudy. People were holding court having dicussions, not everyone was into the game or if they were it was low key. I was busy looking around and taking video and pictures. I probably missed half the game myself. I think its either the food or the air down there. It was something different and I will soon be back in my regular seat in the grandstands.

Edwar Ramirez has put 21 people on base in 10 innings and Jose Veras has a 7.94 ERA. They are at best unreliable at this point. You could make the case that they’re useless.
Guys, come on, I don't leave games early unless they're down 7 runs or more after the bottom of the 8th. Don't remember too many 7-run 9th inning rallies so that's my cutoff.
