Yea, I said it. This weekend we must root for the hated second-class team of New York, the New York Mets. Why? Because they play the even more hated and even lower-call Boston Red Sox in a three-game series in Fenway.I hope the rest of you will be rooting for the Mets this weekend. Honestly, any Yankees fan who hates the Mets more than the Red Sox clearly doesn't have their priorities in order.

Haahha I agree and said the samething to my Met friend. He returned the favor and said he was routing for the Yanks too this weekend. What a great weekend of interleague play. Me and my Met friends can actually sit down and watch a Yankee and/or Met game together and be on the same side!!!
We can cheer for the Mets all we want but in reality this series does not bode well for the Mets at all. The best shot the Mets have at even takin one game is tonight, so it'd be best for us to expect the worse and anything else is a bonus.
I only worry about us. If we win, I'm fine. If the Red Sox or Mets lose, I win.
Margo you got that right. All I care about is us. I cannot root for the sox nor the mets. I want the series to go 2-1 in favor of either team. All i care about is a sweep of the Phillies. And i am a phillies fan but I bleed pinstripes. I actually hate the mets more because of certain players on that team I flatout loath. and the fact that half my family root for the mets and only a quater the sox. I take so much crap from my family but they have nothing to back it up except a piece of shit choking team.
I want the mets to take all 3 from the sux. I can't see any reason for wanting the sox to win any games. If the sux beat the mets it doesn't do anything for the Yankees.

Yankee fans need not be jealous of anyone. We let our team do the talking on the field and let the opponent's fans whine their lives away.
