Lopez: "There's a lot wrong with this building"

According to Sam Borden of the Journal News, Yankees senior vice president Felix Lopez was on WCBS yesterday and had this to say about the new stadium:
“There are a lot of things wrong with this building we’re trying to fix. With the help of the fans and the media, we’re looking into everything.”
Very interesting comment from Lopez who is married to George Stienbrenner's daughter, Jessica. If someone in the family is saying it it makes me wonder how fans still defend the place and all of its problems.

The good news is that it appears that these problems will be fixed eventually.

we were surprised there were no barstools in the mohegan sun club?! no sense staying in there to drink a few and eat if ya can't sit down.

There is nothing so wrong with the Stadium that a little fix here and there. The wind factor if there ultimately is one, it seems to be an easy enough fix.

The stadium is great. Of course there are a couple of things they need to fix but that is kind of expected when you open up a new stadium.

If you don't think there are major problems with this stadium you're blind.

if you think there is nothing wrong withthis building you either: (1) have never been there
(2) never been to another stadium except old Yankee or Shea (3) are stupid (4) were there but either too drunk or too stupid to know any better!

If the Yankees are finally admiting there are things wrong with the stadium, there are things wrong with the stadium! Wake up!

Greg, I wrote about this on Subway Squawkers yesterday, as I noticed it from Monday's game. Lopez wasn't very articulate, and he didn't give any specifics. But he actually sounded sincere, and seemed like he might care about the fans a little. Refreshing change, that's for sure.
